Creating and Modifying Author-it Templates
Author-it internal templates provide global control over the objects associated with them.
While it is possible to create an object without specifying a template, it is not suggested. (One of the new features in Author-it version 4.5 is a message that is displayed when you create a topic and don't use a template.)
